House Hunting
This weekend we went out into the countryside and looked for houses. We saw 5, bringing our current options to choose from to 8 houses. Please Join us in asking Him to show us where He would have us to live. Until He shows us, I thought you would enjoy some of the sites we saw along the way.
School kids walking home from class
Two men carrying a live pig down the road
Out for a Sunday walk
A volcano towering 10,000 feet above the rice fields
Fishermen's boats on the beach
The most holy Hindu temple in the country
Jody and I even got to tour the temple, where he shared with a priest
A man walking down the road, miles from the ocean carrying a fish

Happy Birthday Jody!
On February 6, Jody turned 27! He really enjoyed reading e-mail wishes from friends and family.
We had one lunch with friends and they served one of Jody's favorite local dishes: yellow rice, fermented soybeans, fried chicken and mixed vegetables.
They even served Jody a delicious chocolate cake! They couldn't find a "7" so they used 24 and added three extra candles!
Their children helped him blow them out.
When no one was looking, they sampled the cake.
It is debatable who enjoyed the birthday party more: Jody, Martha
Or Nathan

Temple ceremonies
The Boomyah have recently celebrated one of their major holidays where they believe that their dead ancestors come back as spirits to dwell among them for 10 days. Here are some photos that we captured. At this ceremony, they are taking the instruments used in their Hindu worship ceremonies from their temple to the ocean to be cleansed.
