It's my party!
Let it be known that the year Cadence turned two was marked with no less than 4 birthday parties!
The first was an "All-American" party, where all her guests were American!
We celebrated with Jordan's parents, "Honey" and "Bee" at an indoor play ground.
The second party was on the fourth of July, her actual birthday, at home with mom and dad.
She opened her presents from us as well as Granny and we ate homemade sugar cookies.
The third party was more local, with all of her favorite local people.
We celebrated in a noisy arcade.
She loved riding the rides with her friends and we literally dragged her out kicking and screaming at the end of the night because she was the only one of us who wasn't ready to leave.
Her fourth party was at our house with Jody's parents, "Mae-Mae" and "Puh-Puh"
By then, she had mastered the Happy Birthday song.
She had also consumed so much sugar that she was climbing the walls, with her new stuffed monkey, of course!

Neverland
"Are you ready for your adventure now or should we have our tea first?" -Peter Pan
This summer has been pure fantasy for Cadence as all 4 grandparents traveled the globe just to play with her.
We enjoyed taking them on a boat ride to a little island we call, "Neverland".

Mae-Mae and Puh-Puh
July brought the second wave of grandparents to visit us this summer as we welcomed Jody's parents back to our island.
We spent the first day at the beach.
Three generations of Blantons were reunited.
Two of them climb trees.
Ond of them fishes. She actually did catch a fish with her bare hands...but it was already dead so I guess that made it an easy catch.
Cadence's affinity for shoes continues. She found this disposable pair near the pool.
She also found a creative place to wash the sand off of her feet.
Someone got a new hat.
We all enjoyed each other's company.
Catch me if you can!
We had a blast with Jordan's parents in June. It was fun to take a vacation from our everyday, ordinary lives and visit some beaches.

Adventures and misadventures...
We were sad to say good-bye to Jordan's parents at the end of June as they returned to the US.
During their stay, we had some fabulous adventures. We crammed a whole year's worth of memories, pictures and video into two short weeks.
We sailed in unchartered waters to see places that only a few have ever seen.
We learned about how seaweed was grown, and harvested, before being sent to Japan to be used in making cosmetic products.
We got up close and personal with some newborn sea turtles who will be released soon in an effort to preserve their endangered species.
Cadence enjoyed nap time and bedtime bottles with "Bee".
He helped her climb to new heights!
He was her buddy.
She enjoyed playing on the beach with Honey.
She fostered Cadence's love for learning
We miss you Honey and Bee! Thanks for coming so far to see us!
