We've spent most of the past month with Jody's family in South Carolina. Cadence has fallen asleep in a lot of arms!

Cadence has found her voice and it is the sweetest thing to hear her chat with us in baby talk. She is very alert and enjoys being propped up so that she can take in her surroundings. She is such a good baby. She has already visited 5 states and taken her first plane flight...all with a smile on her sweet face!

Apple Festival

Cadence was so excited when we told her we were going to Hendersonville, North Carolina this weekend for the Apple Festival.

She got to take ALL four of her grandparents + both of her parents.

She decided she didn't have a taste for apples just yet.

She slept a while.

Then slept some more. It was cool in the mountains!

Cadence was sad when her day was over.

She came home and slept some more...5 straight hours through the night!

From Generation to Generation

Cadence had the privilege of meeting my Granny Ladshaw this weekend. She will turn 90 this year on August 28.

These are 4 generations of hands: my dad, Bill Ladshaw, age 63, me, Jordan Ladshaw Blanton, age 31, my grandmother, Granny Ladshaw, age 90, and my daughter, Cadence Blanton, age 6 weeks.

I pray that Cadence would grow to love the Lord as much as Granny Ladshaw does and be faithful to Him, following in the footsteps of the generations that have gone before her.

Go Baby, Grow!

Cadence weighed in at 7 lbs 4oz this week at her 6 week check up. She has grown to 20 inches long and is now wearing newborn sizes!
