Language Bloopers

We have created our share of language mistakes over the past two years, but one of my favorites happened a few weeks ago. I can say it was my favorite because it happened to Jody! He was invited to a ceremony where they were swearing in a new village leader. The following are pictures he took of people there. He was specifically impressed with the boy dancing in the first picture who happens to be a neighbor. When the ceremony was over, he approached the parents and told them what a wonderful dancer their son was. Then he said, "I'm amazing!" They looked at him, pleasantly surprised, and he had no idea that he had slipped up until he was talking to another man later in the day. He meant to say, "I'm amazed!". Maybe they will ask him to dance at the next ceremony! I promise to go and take pictures!

That IS funny!
Once with one of Charlie's friends I asked him if he lived with me and his daughter. He smiled in a puzzled way and nodded - so patient these people are with us!
